review 1: I will say that the last chapter was hot and seductive. Another amazing book written by Lisa. Crystal works for Mark and is very attached to his mother. His mother gets ill and has to get operated and Crystal is there for moral support. Mark doesn't want to be around Crystal because she sees parts of his emotions no one has seen. He tries to put barriers up so that he isn't looking for comfort but yet he craves it. His parents relationship was with many up's and down but if anything happened to his mother his dad would be heart broken. Crystal is temptation and danger to Mark. She is the one with the control and he want's to be the master with control. She is very direct with her comments and has been having the control at all times. He want's too show her who he really ... moreis. There attraction is so intense that just a touch or a slight stare sends heat waves through there bodies. He describes it as "fire in my veins" "it burns to kiss her and its intense". Oblivion is were Mark will take Crystal with those wild feelings. You don't want to miss any book in this series.
review 2: My feedback is the same as for My Hunger.I loved the first 2 books in this series, If I were you and Being me but felt it should have finished there. Sadly, reading this book has confirmed that.Mark Compton was an important character in the main books but not knowing quite what made him tick meant he was mysterious. He was controlled and strong, somewhat distant and that's what I liked about him. Now in this book we are seeing life from his point of view (POV), his mother is seriously ill with breast cancer and the police are investigating his life after Ava withdrew her confession to the murder and insinuated he was involved. As I say, I don't think we need this. The books written from the male POV that I have enjoyed have been the main character reliving the main plot through their eyes. This time it's not the main male character and it's subsequent events. This book doesn't add anything to what was a great storyline in the first 2 books. less
