review 1: I was a little dissappointed as about 3/4th of the way through the book I discovered it was the 2nd book in the series. That information would have been really helpful earlier on when I was shaking my head wondering what on earth they were talking about in some of the scenes. It was obvious they were referencing things that happened prior to the start of this book, but no where was it mentioned that this is really book #2! Just because they didnt number the other book doesnt mean it doesnt exist. Now that rant is over, this book was ok if a little predictable. The pace could have picked up in a few places, but other than that it has a fairly good concept. It needs a little more meat & potatoes to go with the fluff though. The characters are good, but, the plot is thin. ... moreI kept waiting for the good stuff to start happening and the pace to pick up, but it just sort of kept plodding along until suddenly, oh, the end. - btw, there may be a next book. I don't know if I really want another book to plod my way through bad enough to figure out what should happen to the characters that they just left hanging at the end of this book. I'm more tempted to just write my own imaginary ending and leave it at that. Lisa is really going to have to step up her game in order to get me to read another one of her books. Good characters. Good concept. Just a very thin plot. Not enough action to be a thriller, and just a truly sad attempt at romance. It was missing something, I'm just not sure what...
review 2: English university = hot English accents (in my mind). Great debut from a local author, almost squealed my pants off when I found out she was from Perth! Eagerly looking forward to the next book. Why is it that I much prefer New Adult when it's not contemporary? Oh yeah, because there's actually a plot attached to it.This book nailed everything on the head. Steamy looks and touches, forbidden romance, suspense and the general feeling of just wanting to know more. And on a side note - is that the guy who played Kane on Home and Away on the cover????? less

Pretty darn bad. Needs a TON of editing and editorial advice from a pro.
