The End of All Things
review 1: Justin had me at "Surrender Dorothy" and thank goodness, because as much as I sympathized for Carly, she needed a reality check! A lone woman in Alaska, no power, no heat... it would seem obvious that she'd have to move on to survive and there's only so much denial I'm willing to forgive. I was very grateful when Justin entered and took control. "The End of All Things" started slow, laying the ground work for a huge journey for our main characters and then picked up nicely. It was a quick, fun read that took me a little over a day to finish. I really love that there was no explanation for the Infection. There was some guess work and suspicions, but I felt that if Carly, of all people (not that I didn't come to like her, but she had no training to discover such a thing!) un... morecovered the mystery then it would've felt entirely too contrived. I recommend this book for people wanting to read a sweet romance with some action.
review 2: Anyone whom loves dystopians or books about the end of life as we know it will really enjoy this read! Carly is just trying to mind her own business and trying to stay alive in her apartment with her "dog" which actually turns out to be a wolf! Justin takes up residence across the street on the sidewalk and tries to win Carly's trust. When the two finally learn that they will find no harm in each other, they decide to head to Florida where they can grow their own food and will not have to worry about the cold elements. Throughout their trek, they run into all kinds of different people. Some good and some down right scary. Once I started this book, I had a very hard time putting it down. We are not really left with a cliffhanger, the book seems to wrap itself up nicely, but, I would like to see more of what happens with these characters and would LOVE a sequel!!! less

A great story about people coming together after the world as they know it changes.

Good. A little bit of a rushed ending...but a solid 3.65 stars.
