review 1: Short, sweet and so freaking sexy! This was a perfect quick read that I ate up in one sitting. Literally, did not put the book down from start to finish. I'm always a sucker for a best friends to lovers romance and this one had the perfect twist with the friends both being men.Chase and Alex have been best friends since high school. They are off at college living as roommates when Alex unexpectedly walks in on Chase being pleasures by another man. Alex is shocked which is putting it mildly but even more unexpected his his other reaction to witnessing his friends intimate moment. Alex is wildly turned on by the whole thing and slightly jealous and can't seem to get Chase out of his mind. And his thought are no longer purely platonic. Alex has always thought of himself as a ... morestraight man and had never considered any other option. After walking in on Chase though he is no questioning everything and his newfound sexual desires are beyond confusing and scary. Chase on the other hand has known and accepted his bisexuality for some time but never shared those feelings with his best friend for fear that it would change things between them. More than that Chase is afraid of revealing his deepest desires which all involve being intimate with Alex in ways he's never been with any other man. Once Chase confronts Alex things become super uncomfortable and their formerly tight knit bond becomes strained. Both men are dealing with a lot of confusion but when they decide to take things to the next level one night, Chase thinks all his dreams and inner most fantasies are finally being realized. However when Alex bails after their steamy encounter, Chase fears things will never be the same and worse that in acting on his deep attraction and love for Alex he has destroyed their friendship forever. Luckily the book doesn't drag on and things move rather quickly with both men deciding to take a chance on each other and explore this passionate connection they've discovered. From then on the men stay committed to one another and find a beautiful love and intense sexual chemistry beyond their wildest dreams. It really is a sweet love story with the added bonus of having two super sexy men acting out their sexual fantasies together in ways that had me craving more. I really never realized how incredibly hot two men together can be. This book covers the whole m/m erotic romance in a way that never feels crude or uncomfortable. If anything I was more turned on while reading because of the fat that these were two sexy alpha males expressing their love without shame while holding nothing back. Because of this being a novella, the whole thing happens rather quickly and ended way before I was ready to say goodbye to these characters. Lucky for us there is a follow up book in this series that should hopefully satisfy my need to know what the future holds for Chase and Alex.
review 2: Chase and Alex have been friends forever. They went to school together and now they're roommates at college.Chase has a secret. He's bi-sexual and in love with Alex. Alex walks in on Chase and another guy. This is how Alex finds out Chase likes men. Alex is shocked and a bit upset. But not for the reason you would think. See, Alex wants Chase too, he just doesn't realize it yet.This was a great story about two men who are discovering each other as lovers. They already have the friendship part down, now they just need to figure out the lover part.The secondary characters in this story are great and provide a wonderful backdrop for Chase and Alex to figure things out.I can't wait for the next one! less
