review 1: This is a book I saw very shortly after it came out and have really wanted to read it but it never came up on a site that I actively buy e books from. Today I saw it was free and did go to the smashwords site to get it. Happy happy joy joy turned into wtf????? The tease for this was very well written and drove me nuts. The actual story..... My momma taught me that if I can't say anything nice don't say anything at all.
review 2: This short story was a surprise for me. I didn’t think I would enjoy it as much as I did. This is mainly because (1) I’m not into sci-fi and (2) aliens and hotness are two words that don’t correlate for me. However, after having read Obsidian my opinion is starting to change and that’s really why I checked out this short story.... more Lindsey is a funny heroine. On her 30th birthday she’s all ready for her party and her stripper, but instead what she gets is kidnapped by a hot chauvinistic alien. What results is some pretty funny and very believable dialogue as well as some hot alien sex. The story was short, so there wasn’t much time for character development or much world building (I would like to see more of how Fai’s alien world works), but for what it was the whole thing worked in a funny, quirky way. less
