review 1: LOVE LOVE LOVE this book! This may be one of my all time favorites. This is an autobiogrophy about Lois Ehlert. In this book she uses ton of colors in her pictures. She uses many photos of her family and puts items in the book that ment something to her. The pages are not all the same size makes it very fun. This bio is one of the most creative one I have seen. This is a great bio for children or anyone. It is very easy to follow and understand; yet very detailed information in the words and pictures on each page. Awesome book a must read!
review 2: This book functions on so many levels. It is a very accessible biography. (still in the 740's though cause it focuses on her life as an illustrator). Large print juxtaposed with her creative process. It tells how... more she liked to read when she was a child, how she thought she might write a book one day, and then she does. She describes where she gets ideas, how she structures a story, and how it all works out. I think any one with a creative bent can glean much from these pages. Recommended for all ages. less
