review 1: Enjoyable little cozy read through Whispersync/Immersion reading. The narrator does a great job of voicing all the different characters. The book is populated by zany, quirky characters with the main ones being members of the Chubby Chicks Club. One of their members die and two members, Cat and Anna Mae, work together to prove it wasn't a suicide and to solve the murder. The Quirky and appealing nature of these characters makes it possible to overlook the few implausible parts of the story while some of the situations they find themselves in are truly funny.
review 2: Dying for Dinner Rolls by Lois Lavrisa is the first book in the Chubby Chicks Club Mystery series. One of the members of the Chubby Chicks Club is found dead after going home to pick up dinner ro
... morells for their meeting and even though police close the case as a suicide, the club members are not satisfied and decide to investigate. I found it difficult to stay interested in the mystery and it seemed to drag. The characters were a bit strange and silly and the case was solved only by luck. Not my type of mystery. less

I actually only gave it 2 1/2 stars. This could have been. a short story.
