review 1: Although this book is suspenseful, the plot and characters are very thin. There's a lot of backstory given but the characters don't show enough individualistic behaviors. They don't come to life anymore than if you'd read their resumes. The book's ending hangs as if this might be the first in a series, but there isn't any specific reason to hope for one. I never warmed to the main character, perhaps because he's a mob boss, a killer who makes money from drugs, etc. Not someone I can cheer for. The terrorists in the book are the usual cookie cutter types, stupid followers and conniving leaders.

... moreked how intriguing this book started off but was severely disappointed when it downhill after that. It was almost like the author scrapped his original idea and started creating a story that had nothing to do with the plot. I kept thinking that I was reading a different book due to the heavy inconsistencies. Unfortunately this book started of promising but very poor execution. less

Sounds like the first in a series. Not worth it.
