review 1: Another romance novel! But this was a good one, more meat to the characters & story rather than the gratuitous sex scenes. That's the way I prefer it. Finished this in a day and left me satisfied :) that's all I can ask for in a romance novel. The main characters, Cat & Alexi, were likeable and of course had their secret pasts that you discover at the end. It was a good, quick & easy romantic read, exactly what I was looking for.
review 2: I had no idea I'd love Western romance. This book is fantastic. I think my favorite aspect of the story was the brotherly bond between Alexi and Michail. (This is going to sound crazy, but it reminded me of J.R. Ward's brotherhood.) I also appreciated the disguises, the tenacity, and that there was just enough duplicity to ke... moreep me guessing. The last fifty pages have an immediate and wonderful flow. If you're looking for a western romance, read this one.I work at Penguin, but it didn't affect this review. less
