review 1: This book was a big ball of WTFery for me. Many places the dialogue and characterizations just didn't make sense. The RCMP involvement in the stalker situation had me wondering if Canadian and US police resources were really so different. Are Canadians not allowed to have security cameras? Because a couple of those would have done wonders for nipping this one in the bud.The language used in the book had me scratching my head on several occasions, audible shrieks and rein/reign stood out to me. The sex scenes were awkward and unsexy and there was a lack of romantic tension between the characters. The first love scene felt like it had been crammed in to make the book sexier and didn't contribute to the story. I'm not sure why I even finished this one. I think I was hoping fo... morer some kind of satisfying ending, but even the resolution had me shaking my head at the absurdity of it all. I'm giving it two stars because it did start off decently.
review 2: Well developed story and characters. Stalker plot added a good bit of suspense to the story but the ending when the culprit is found was wrapped up too tidily so it felt a bit flat for me. Chemistry between h/h is good as well but this is more sensual than erotic. Many of fade-to-black love scenes and not overly explicit or graphic. Set up is perfect for next book with best friends Samantha and Blake which I look forward to reading. less
