review 1: Mystery, thriller, suspense... take your pick.Trinity is 22 and an art restoration expert. She meets Rush when he brings in a painting for restoration. T is taken care of by her overbearing, overprotective father, who is a federal judge. She's still a virgin and can't figure out why none of the men she dates will see her after the second date... she thinks something's wrong with her. When T figures out that her father has been having her followed on her dates and then threatens them to break up with her, she rebels and flies with to be with her friends in Vail and coincidentally Rush is there. After a rocky start, they begin a relationship and then all the stuff happens: explosions, break-ins, assaults, shootings. And Trinity finds out that the people she wants to t... morerust betray her and lie to her.I don't get how she could possibly consider going back to Rush. There's an unfulfilling HEA, but there's a second book, so we'll see what happens.
review 2: I was all in for about 1/3 of the book and then this story got a little crazy! Someone is out to get revenge on Trinity's father, Judge Grace. So how do you get revenge on someone who's hurt you, you go after what he loves most and that's his daughter, Trinity Grace!Okay, so with that I was intrigued. Trinity works for an art dealer restoring art work and when the handsome, tall, rich Rush Drayton request specifically for her to restore a piece of art for him, she is blown away by this god of a man. While on a trip with her girlfriends to Veil,CO Trinity runs into no other than Rush Drayton! One thing leads to another and the time that she spends with Rush is unforgettable, but is Rush using Trinity to get closer to her dad for revenge? So at this point the story is still going strong and then boom!!!! Shit starts to hit the fan and take a turn to ridiculousness! *********Spoiler alert, spoiler alert*********So, first someone tries to kill Trinity's dad. Okay that seemed realistic since someone has it out for him. So naturally he wants to keep his daughter safe after his attack, but nooooooo Trinity doesn't want security tailing her because after finding out some information that proves how much her father has controlled her life, she refuses his security! She's an adult she has the right to refuse, right! Well not if you've been kidnaped twice in your life, attacked at work from a burglar, attacked by some biker dudes, has her home broken into and is attacked again by a second burglar, and ran over by a car! Really, I don't think mobster have had that many hits on them!!!! At this point I was just annoyed with Trinity still refusing security, it just got too ridiculous. Then there's her relationship with Rush. He's hot, he's cold, he's says he'll protect her, but has done a piss poor job at it. Then he leaves her, but can't stay away from her! Then once he finds out how much of a liar Trinity's Dad is, he still takes his word on a decision Trinity didn't make and cuts all ties with her and doesn't check on her when she ends up the hospital! WTF!So in closing, the sex was hot, the heroine was an idiot, her father was an ass, and the hero was full of shit. Once the story unfolds, their was a few unexpected revelations and shocking moments that would have made this story good if the author would have given us less craziness on all the damn attacks on Trinity. less
