review 1: Sarah Sargeant is out of work and out of luck in love - and going out of her mind. A part-time waitress and unemployed actress, Sarah thought she had masses of time to find 'The One.' But suddenly she realises she's nearly 30, there's no-one to wake up to each morning and no-one to love but your parents and your best friend. This book gave me the push to start my blog and to give online dating one more try... and you know what, thank you Lucy-Anne Holmes because now I can bother people with my thoughts and am dating a very charming and posh Brit. I thought Sarah Sargeant was funny and charming. Let's be real, dating can suck but even when you have a shitty date you can at least laugh about it with your friends, sometimes that's why I went on dates. I recommend this book if... more you want a good laugh. I really recommend this book if you are single and at the point of your dating life where you feel you should give up and become the single slutty friend.
review 2: I picked this silly title looking for some feel-good-nonsense and I don't regret it. It's hilarious... a book about a girl and her blog (that apparently existed once upon a time and was the basis for the book... but doesn't exist anymore, I checked! If it did, I'd probably read it :). It's cute, 'cause it's about love and stuff. And did I mention it's hilarious!? If you need a good laugh or a cheer-me-up or just something to amuse you on a boring afternoon, 50 Ways to Find a Lover is the GIRLIE book for you! less
