review 1: A good but not great story. Ms. Dare writes heroes who cheat in order to achieve a happily ever after. In other words, they seduce. Not my favorite romance trope. Each hero in the series has been insecure about their Lycan status, which is understandable to a point, and therefore purposefully neglect to tell their heroine about who they really are.In this one, Will has a history with Prisca that goes back farther than their aborted elopement. The reason the elopement was aborted was either left out or I missed it somehow. Since then Will has been sampling any and all females to try and erase Prisca from his mind (I'm not really fond of this excuse for bad behavior). I expected a great deal of banter between the two and was not disappointed. Prisca uses sarcasm and ... morecriticism to assuage her hurt feelings (another excuse for bad behavior I'm not really fond of) and eventually I tired of it. It seemed each time they got close to really talking, Prisca balked and decided to continue mistrusting Will. It added quantity but not quality to the story.Eventually they finally listened to each other but it required the intervention of family members to make it happen.
review 2: I think this is a good book and would have been a good end to the series. Well except you never would find out what happens with Oliver ( I hope he gets his own book ). This story finished up the three brothers and their mates. Will has been in love with Prisca forever and in fact they were suppose to run away together. Well things get derailed and Prissy spends the next several years "hating" Will. When a new wolf (Brimsworth or some such) comes home for the holidays, Will gets very territorial! The next book in the series tells Brimsworth's story. less
