review 1: I get that this is an Erotic novel and thus the main topic's supposed to be the sexual relationship between the main characters but... It got old really fast. Don't get me wrong it was hot as he!! but most of the time I just skimmed through them in order to continue on to the next scene.This story had a wonderful plot and secondary characters which was what let me salivating for more and wanting to skip the sex scenes in order to get to those. This story would have been even more incredible if there had been a balance in the storyline between the sexual scenes and the rest of the story. There were times when a really interesting subplot was introduced but you were left wanting because right then the trio would slip into a sex scene that lasted like 40+ pages. 8o| It w... moreas really frustrating!!!I've read many Erotic books that have an incredible balance between the storyline and the sexual encounters that leave you really satisfied with both aspects and with a well rounded feeling. This book could have been like that because the author had the storyline to back it up and make it even better. It seems she just chose to focus on the sexual aspect of the trio's relationship more.Oh well, onward to my next reading selection... It may or may not be book 2 of this series. Although thinking about it, I might insert another author for my next reading before I tackle Nikki's story because if it'll be more sex than storyline I think I better take a break from this author's style of writing before tackling her next book. Otherwise I won't get to enjoy it and just get frustrated again. Don't get me wrong, I like me some hot sex scenes in my romance novels, but sometimes there's a point where if you pass it things can turn too much porno and loose the romantic aspect of things. Well, at least that's my opinion.Later gator!
review 2: After reading this book, it had me hooked into this series because of the characters and because of how well written this book was. I loved how Laurie wasn't your "bottle blonde wanna be model type", by her description she was just your average woman. I love how this book showed that even though the woman was an older woman, she was still able to find love, and in Laurie's case, loves.This book was a great beginning to a new series, I think it was amazing how you learn a little about the characters from the future books, but it doesn't over take the story at hand.I have recommended this book to many of my friends!! less
