review 1: This is my least favorite installment of the series. The story is really slow, mainly because the “side” story about Sandy and Mike drags on forever and is not very interesting. Both characters are okay as minor players but give them too much attention and their flaws start showing. The romance between them is implausible and annoying. Simon and Jeremy – as always – brought the goods but it felt like they were pushed to the side. The changing POV between all the characters didn’t work for me. I groaned whenever certain characters took over. I still enjoyed reading the book, just not as much as I would have expected after the first two.
review 2: A short review but I still don't understand the need for everyone's POV. No idea at all. The storyline alwa
... moreys suffers for me, because the case is usually boring as hell and the author's need to draw out everything becomes tedious. However the characters are always fun to read, and the jokes and the banter always makes me smile. The new guy Dave was a sweetheart and I'm glad after talking to Archer he played against what was considered bullying from the team. Jeremy Archer for me what makes this story so enjoyable. Simon continues to be an arse at times, but was much better in this book and I'm not sure what other reviewers meant about him in this book? If anything the man was much more nicer to Jeremy and there was progress in their relationship. I'm not sure why Simon needed to grovel? In any case the book was good at times but dragged way too much. less

This one dragged a bit--the different POV's didn't really work for me but in all--not a bad read
