review 1: I must have missed the part about this being an illustrated memoir, was hoping for something a little meaty. For a coffee table book, however, this has plenty of gorgeous photos and interesting recollections from Albright. A very pleasant way to kill a lunch break. Gives me motivation to expand my own pin collection and pick up her actual autobiography. Excited that part of her collection is in town right now at the Czech Museum - need to get there stat!
review 2: I wish I had known Ms. Albright intentionally chose her broaches while Secretary of State--I would have paid more attention to them! I very much enjoyed this book with Albright describing where some of her pins came from, why she chose certain pins at different times, and how her tastes changed. I
... moret is an easy read (think of it as an adult picture book) and provides more insight into the fascinating life and mind of Albright. less
