review 1: Honestly, I was not thrilled with this read. I wanted to get into it -- I really did. I've heard good things about the authors and this book in particular, so I wanted to give it a spin and a fair shot. And in the beginning, I though it was actually quite good. There was sexual tension between the characters, And the way their relationship unfolded was... not believable, maybe, but satisfying in what I assumed would be a light, predictable, but still entertaining bit of fluff. *the review below may contain slight spoilers*Unfortunately, things quickly went downhill for me. The relationship turned very gooey and very sweet way too quickly for my taste. While affection and tenderness and all that are great, with Julian and Cam it seemed... forced and cliched. It jut *happene... mored* and when it did, it didn't feel like two guys in a relationship together. It read like a big, pushy alpha dude in a relationship with a wilting flower of a girl. It was unsatisfying, and above all, somewhat annoying. They were both pretty one-dimensional, even though they had a lot of potential. I just couldn't see what they saw in each other besides sex -- they hardly talked, hardly shared anything but small talk really, and when Julian basically proclaimed that he'd been in live with cam ever since he started going to his restaurant... I couldn't help but roll my eyes. I'm not a huge fan of love-at-first-sight, and especially not from characters that would and should be a lot more shrewd. Although I might have given that a free pass, if not for Cam's overwhelming insecurity. Now, I like insecure characters. I think it's something everyone feels and identifies with, but in this case it just... didn't feel right. Cameron went from an 'I don't know and I don't care' attitude about J's work straight to 'we can't be together because I get too worried about you' in what felt like a matter of pages. He was whiny, slightly obsessive, and not once did he seem to grow or develop. Not until the very end, which was basically a 'lesson learned' moment, and didn't strike me as particularly believable. The plot with the 'villain' was somewhat intriguing, but very vague as we rarely got Julian's perspective on it, and it was difficult for me to get really involved and worried about this bad dude. We get told that he's bad, and probably out to kill Julian, and that he's dangerous, but the delivery felt flat and not nearly intense enough. Maybe that was a product of me being annoyed with the characters and their shallow, cheesily romantic relationship, but towards the end I wasn't worried about either of them and didn't get particularly emotional over any of the developments. Parts of it were funny, bits and snatches were even heartwarming, but those were unfortunately not enough to hold it together for me. :P
review 2: OMG...I absolutely loved this book...For all of you who have read the Cut and Run series this is where we see how Cameron and Julian get together and it's long ride.....Julian is the silent customer of Tuesdays a restaurant where Cameron is a waiter....It's clear these two are meant to be together but Cameron and Julian are opposites but as they say...opposites attract.....Cameron is so cute and adorable and totally innocent and doesn't see what Julian sees in him....Julian is well in this book we never really find out who or what he is....Is he the bad guy or the good guy....I want to believe he's the good guy because I love him in this....He's so calm and polite on the outside but you know he's totally dangerous.....I read this in under twelve hours because i just couldn't put it down....It was slow to get going...to totally get into it but when it did...wow...there's the same kind of sex scenes as the cut and run series I.E it's background..the story itself is about the two of them together and the danger...This I found did not bother me at all because I've come to realise that Miss Roux's stories just keep you turning the page.....This is a fairly easy read until that last 30% of the book then it's heart in mouth...tears down face...and a stiff drink time.....It was hard to read...even though I read this after Armed and Dangerous it was still hard and hurtful to read and I really did think that Cameron should have hit Julian a couple of more times...Oh and one more thing...Those cute little dogs of Camerons.....so adorable...And Julians Cats just made him all the more loveable x less

I did not like this as much as Ty and Zane's story. It was still sweet though.
