review 1: I'm kinda disappointed...I was hoping for something like Laurann Dohner's New Species series and it really fell short and flat. Some things were similar (a little too similar) like the genetic modifications with animal DNA (only wolf here) and being raised in captivity by an evil corporation. But it lacked the emotional heart tugging resonance I always get with New Species. I didn't really like Erica that much and Sol wasn't "alpha" enough for me.I'll have to think about continuing the series or not.
review 2: First of all, let me say that I loved the action in this book. The story was well paced and the mix between action based altercations and emotional quandaries kept me on my toes (I hate when all the problems are misunderstandings/relationship based).Howeve
... morer, I just did not fall in love with the male lead. I LOVE my alpha males but despite a lot of posturing, chest thumping and possessive declarations, Sol just wasn't dominating enough where it counts. He bored me to tears in bed.I know that reviewers often compare this series to Laurann Dohner's New species, and despite the risk of sounding unoriginal, I would like to sound with the chorus and do the same. In the New species books, I daydream about the male leads for days (sometimes weeks in the case of Fury, Valiant, Justice and Tiger, sooo yummy!) after finishing the books. With Sol, that's not going to happen. The rest of the story was good enough though to make up for the weak male character though and I'm willing to check out the next book. Please Titus, don't let me down. less

Read like the poor man/really broke man's version of Laurann Dohner's New Species.
