review 1: OK, I love being outdoors and exploring, but Tide Ever Rising takes it to a whole new level! Kadie loves ghost towns, and she found the perfect one in Eureka, Utah. Then the story really takes off. Kadie found an old journal and is determined to get it to the family. Her sister follows her on the crazy journey. Together, with the family of the journal, they uncover a dark past.Mandi describes in detail the different places Kadie goes to. You can't help but picture those places! This is so well written, and the romance part? Well, lets just say that even preteens could read this! I read this book in one day, I loved every bit of it. Totally worth getting and reading!!
review 2: "If I ever get my hands on him, I'll make him wish his mama had been barren
... more."Could this be classified as LDS fiction? I guess so, but there wasn't really any church-y moments. I felt like the pacing or the proportions or something of this book was...off. It spent huge amounts of time on issues that I wouldn't have given much thought to and not enough time on the mystery at hand. Maybe I came into the book with the wrong idea, but I thought the book would be more about the mystery of the past, but it was wrapped up in a page and felt like an after thought. Also, the character Maysha was annoying like no other. less

This was an enjoyable read. It had a nice romance mixed in with a little mystery.
