review 1: Dark and creepy. Mysterious, suspenseful, and surprising. All great words to describe this book. It is definitely not my usual type of book, but it kept drawing me in to read more. It wasn't overly exciting, but this book kept it interesting and suspenseful. Never read the tale this story was based off of so I had no expectations there. Not quite sure I would read more of this authors work though. Nothing stood out or made it an extremely worthwhile read for me.
