review 1: ~Disclaimer: I received this book for free in a giveaway~If you are history of books person/books about books person and/or a Jane Austen fan this is the book for you. I found the formatting and the design lovely. Its very education and takes you through the years of covers. Little tidbits of information you probably didn't know are scattered throughout. I wish there were more sections where the author delved more into information beyond the actual covers. The brief section about the fashions of the day was interesting. The paragph on ebooks could easily have been expanded on. All in all a good read if you are part of the audience listed above.4/5 stars.

My review will be up soon once I receive and read my copy of Jane Austen Cover to Cover. I'm really excited to read this because I'm a sucker for book covers- admittedly, I often judge a book by it's cover. So seeing all the covers of the previous editions of Jane Austen's books all bound together in a book is absolutely great. The transition and the gamut of designs through the centuries is definitely something I'm looking forward to. less
