review 1: I was fortunate to receive Margaret Drabble's book from a First Reads giveaway. Brilliantly and intelligently written. I loved the point of view. Very creative. The author presents me with an opportunity to learn about a history that is not my own and I am excited to explore. Quite refreshing to read a book that increases my vocabulary and desire to learn as well as providing a compelling story and characters.
