review 1: This book is written as a journal covering the life of Stacy in her freshman year of high school. Realistic fiction is not my usual genre. Especially not journals of high school girls. But I enjoyed this book more than I expected. The format allowed me to pop in and read a few pages at a time, which turned out to be a nice way to read a book. I appreciated how Margaret Lesh built in issues of mental health to even out some of the boy-crazy stuff.
review 2: I received Normalish from the publisher for my honest review.Normalish by Margaret Lesh is about a girl named Stacy who is a freshman in high school and she’s basically just trying to make it through it. Her dad just died and her sisters are annoying and her crush does not know she exists. Crazy world right
... more? You’ll learn all about it once you read Normalish.I very much enjoyed this book, it was a very light and fluffy read and everybody needs one of those once in awhile. One of the things I liked about this book was that we got to see Stacy struggle through the different obstacles but she made it through without too much damage which is good to see. Many girls go through bad times like that and I think reading books like this where they can see some of those same problems it makes it a lot easier. One thing that I wasn’t too sure about in the book was that some of the scenes seemed to be run on a little bit but I got past that because I loved the characters as well. Stacy was a great character she was extremely strong, a great. Some other characters were her sister Becca was a little strange which you’ll find when you read the book, but really she is a great sister. One person that cracked me up was Ramon he was a sweet shy guy but he made my day every time I read about him.Overall I give the book a 4 out of 5 stars. The writing was great. The setting was great and I enjoyed the characters and the plot they were my favorite parts J less

This was sweet. No over-the-top drama, and lots of humorous introspection.
