review 1: I received this book in exchange for an honest review. This book never really took off for me. It rode the line between romance, mystery, drama and a little too close to an afterschool/Lifetime drama. Nothing wrong with any one, or even two but this story was all over.Things I enjoyed-*Jamie and Maddy's easy friendship and hilarious banter*Peek into drama filled fake news room-and the way their "hard hitting" stories were fabricated*Obsession with knock off purses-random yet very amusing*Maddy and her dream off being relevantThings that bugged me-*Truly not a teetotaler-bbut drinking was excessive. As a nurse I worry about their livers!*The drunken one night stand-didn't ring true for either character*The complete disregard the parents had for the care of their teen age... more daughter-this wasn't funny or cute-bordered on neglect*Maddy's crazy moodsIn the end they got their HEA- hoping it is true and lasts!
review 2: I was given this book to read in exchange of an honest review!This was a really cute, funny romance story! I enjoyed it! Maddy is a producer for News 9, and she writes stories for her enthusiastic, news anchor, co worker. They assign her a hot photographer named Jamie and he is engaged! She is immediately attracted to him and tries to fight it. Things happen between them, good and bad, but I don't want to give a lot away. Let me just say it's chemistry and some heart break. It's a great love story! Also, In the meantime Maddy has a lot of family drama, mom and dad divorce and taking care of her out of control, 16 yr old sister. She is also, on to a really interesting story that might just change her career, forever! This is a story full of romance, mystery, and family drama! And, very funny, to top it off! I recommend this book!! less
