review 1: Another great story by MG. The reader would really feel the continuity of the series. At times, I wanted to go back to Gavin and Ella, but during this story-telling of Patrick and Heidi, I realized that I've had enough of "too good to be true" love stories. Not that P&H wasn't that. I guess every love story has a certain portion of it that is too good to be true. (Bitter lang? Haha!)Some of the major items that TLINL tackles are the concepts of what love is (Gasgas na gasgas na ba? Haha!) and of soulmates. You see, both the main characters lost their respective spouses to death. Both "real love" in their own ways....Some of the main questions in the story:1. What is true love? How do you know that "this is it"?2. Can "real love" or "marriage with The One" be surpassed by ano... morether?3. Can you marry the wrong person?4. When do the marriage vows end?5. Do you only have one soulmate in life?Quite basic questions. But without "the drama", there would be no story. To tell the story, MG interchanges between the two main characters, and what they're going through in both their situation and in their each.It is 31 chapters and 150 pages long. Short chapters but very much filled with events and emotions in each. There were times when it had a heavy feel to it.Either way, it has its usual interesting story line and narration. It may not be as cheesy as most books I read, but the series is still worth looking forward to.
review 2: This book was way different than the first two in the series, but still maintained that sweet romantic quality Marilyn Grey has in her stories. She weaves together life and love so well. I love how real the characters feel and how you want so badly to keep reading about them even though each book has absolutely no cliff-hangers. You get your HEA for each book, but still can't wait for the next book to come out to see what happens to everyone else. This book is sweet, a little sad at times... made me tear up, but the ending is so beautiful. I love this series so far and I'm excited to read more about Miranda. How interesting she seems! less
