She is suffering from amnesia but remembers a conversation while in her coma between a man and a woman talking about their sex life. When she finally recovers she told she has a fiancé who is also her agent but does not remember him. She is weary of him as he takes her home to their place and finds it all strange. Abigail hires a private investigator to see who owns the number and to check out he... morer fiancé.Turns out the number belongs to a Matt Garcia whom she never met before as she seeks out the mysterious phone number address. On her return from visiting him she meets up with the private investigator again who shows her fiancé is cheating with his assistant who was the lady voice she heard in the hospital and that he was embezzling her money while she was in a coma.Abigail decides to close off what is remaining in her account before her fiancé gets to the rest. Using the investigator information she transfers most of the remaining money into Matt’s account for safe keeping while taking a few thousand in cash for herself. When she gets home she finds her fiancé and assistant together on a desk and packs up and leaves.Having no place to go she arrives back at Matt as she tells him what happens. He offers her to stay at his place with his roommate Trey since they have an extra bedroom. The two of them get closer as he pushes her into running and entering running contests, she finds herself enjoying running. She keeps getting more memories but they are not hers but that of Matt’s oldest sister who recently died. Can these two people trust their feelings or will his past keep getting in the way?
review 2: Genre: New Adult/ Series (Book One)Rating:4 memorable starsBrief Synopsis: Abigail Adams is a supermodel who wakes up from a coma without any memory, except for one. A phone number. That phone number leads her to Matthew Garcia, a star football player and woman loving man. After finding her fiance who she doesn’t even remember cheating she flees to Matthews house, the only place she knows. Matt and Abi along with Matt’s room-mate Trey figure out that the memories she does have belong to Matt’s deceased sister. The tension between the two builds up, but with Matt’s playboy ways Abi is hesitant. Likes: I really liked the plot line. At first I thought I was reading the second book in the series and I was confused because it started off in the hospital and I thought I missed something But we later learn how she got there. Their friendship builds wonderfully and I love them as friends, and was rooting for them as a couple. There is quite a lot of sexual tension and it kept me reading to see where it would lead. Trey and Kelly are great secondary characters and I’m glad Abi found some friends since she has no family or memory of any other friends. Dislikes: Although I love sexual tension, I dislike the back and forth (if that makes any sense). Abi forgives WAY too easily and after what Matt did I couldn’t stand him. The term BEAUTIFUL is used more times than I can count and I wanted to roll my eyes every time Matt called Abi that. The ending doesn’t really end in a cliffhanger, but there are quite a lot of unanswered questions that will lead into book two, Unspoken Promises.Book review on behalf of My Book Inspired Ramblings less
