review 1: Wow it's been a long time since I started and finished a book in the same day, but I couldn't help myself here. I was completely hooked. After seeing so many negative reviews I was very worried about what the book may contain, but I was pleasantly surprised. Unlike Fifty Shades of Grey, Haven of Obedience had me tingling in all the right places during the sex scenes and I'd be lying if I said it wasn't still having an effect on me. I really like the premise of the book; the idea that a person can go away for a few weekends and learn how to change their sexual appetites is really appealing and to be completely honest I think it would be a learning experience. How many of us claim that we know what we like? But how many of us have then dared to try something else that is on ... moreoffer? And that is what the Haven is all about. Trying something new and changing your perceptions about sex. But if this was such a great book then why am I only rating it four stars? Well because as much as I loved it, I felt that the character development was somewhat lacking. Yes Natalie's sexual appetites change but she's not really changed herself, and it didn't feel to me as if Simon evolved at all throughout the book. This is definitely well worth a read though despite the array of negative reviews.
review 2: Tohle se snad ani nedá hodnotit jako kniha. Snad nějaká příručka BDSM.Náznak nějakého příběhu tam byl,ale spíš než co jiného se kniha točila kolem popisování různorodých praktik a ospravedlnění proč je lidé provádějí. Zvláštní,tak trochu mimo mou dimenzi. Nevím proč,ale připomělo mi to všemi opěvovaný film Klub rváčů,tam jsem taky nechápala,proč si chlapi kompenzují frustrace tím,že si dávají do držky a tváří se že je to to nejlepší řešení. Akorát tady si nedávají do držky. less
