review 1: It takes more than your average bear to love a woman with curves. Bethany is insecure about her plus size body, When she first meets Max she does not believe he would be interested in someone as curvy as her. When she sees him at her friends party with another woman, she believes he already has a girlfriend. She leaves the party and consoles herself with a pint of ice cream. When he notices that she had left the party, he follows her home.When Bethany goes over to his place the next day for a late afternoon barbecue, she asks him about the Ursula(the woman he was with). He lets her know that he has no girlfriend, and the woman that he was with was set up by his uncle to meet her for coffee and then turned into going to her co-worker’s party. Max also lets her know that ... morehe has wanted her from the moment he saw her. This book was sexy, fun, and a quick read. I loved the characters and the story line, they were very well-developed. I loved Max, he was so yummy, and hot. I just wished it was longer than 126 pages, so I give it 4/5 stars.
review 2: A fairly disappointing read. Yeah, sure there was a bear .... and a clueless h, again. However, our H, seemed very young despite his international travels etc.Our clueless h, Bethany, jumps into bed with our H, Max within moments of learning that yes, Max shifts into a bear. Totally ridiculous. We even have a jealous she-bear who went out with Max once. Yes, once.I've already got the 2nd book, so I'll give this author another go and we'll see how it ends up. less
