review 1: I haven't read this, or even heard of it until this very moment, because WHY DOES IT EXIST?! A novelization of the terrible miniseries based on the Bible? Has there ever been anything more cynical and insipid in humanity's quest to understand its place in the universe? Probably! But this one comes with the stamp of approval from the guy who Executive Produces The Apprentice and the woman who once appeared on a crappy CBS show about angels. Such an idiotic new low.

The book itself is well done & keeps to the theme of the series itself which is to re-tell the Bible like the story it is. From Genesis through Revelation & the early founding of the Christian church, the book as well as the mini series take us on a journey of the Bible not seen ever before. If you enjoyed the series as much as I did, then this book is a perfect addition to any library. Even if you've never seen the show, read the book anyway since it'll give you a better understanding of the Bible that anyone will enjoy. less
