The Memoir
review 1: Wow! I read a lot of these types of memoirs, and this is up there with the best of them.I literally could not put this book down. I picked it up and pulled an all-nighter, until I had ready every last page. Then I started the sequel, the second part of her story! Marni Mann is an incredibly gifted writer, she sucks you so deeply into the story, that you become this girl. You feel her pain, her degradation, her losses, her terrible lows.Things get so bad for this girl, yet when you think it can't possibly get any worse, she manages to double it. It is a very graphic read, so if sex and drugs offend you, then give it a miss. But if you enjoy addiction memoirs, don't go past this one.
review 2: I was literally blown away at how well this book captured the horrendo
... moreus life of a drug addict. Told with such emotion and backed up by the awesome writing of Marni Mann, this book was deeply sad, but so worth the read. If you ever wanted to know what it is like to be a drug addict or have a loved one who was one, this is the book for you. This book takes you down the dark streets, the horrible friends, the lies and the life torn apart. A true amazing memoir I won't soon forget. less
