review 1: Martin Short is one of the greatest comedy minds of all time. I listened to the audio book and he does all of his popular, not so popular characters in the book. I burst out laughing and I got teary eyed at some points. He adored his wife and her cancer story was hard to listen to. I am an even bigger fan of Martin Short now. His voice was soothing, I loved it. I may start it over again today and listen all over again.
review 2: This was a well done combo of Short's accounts of his childhood, personal relationships, and career highs and lows. Martin has suffered through some sad events in his life (parents died when he was fairly young and wife died in 2010) but he seems to have handled them with grace and has emerged a stronger person. His advice to his son wh... moreen his wife was dying put a lump in my throat and his revelations about his own happy personality near the end had me smiling. Also, it has just enough inside information about his celebrity friends to keep it interesting. less
