Scandinavian Merry Christmas Reindeer Card

Hello

Christmas is fast approaching and I hope you’ve got time to read about the third card of four Scandinavian Christmas inspired cards using the Cookie-Cutter Christmas Stamp Set.

One of the final steps of my mum’s Christmas prepping happened on the 23rd of December when she cooked a huge portion of ‘rice porridge‘. Rice porridge is what Christmas elves eat in case you didn’t know. It’s normally served with a lump of butter and cinnamon sugar on top with a bottle of elf beer. Leftovers of rice porridge are then turned into rice pudding on Christmas Eve by adding vanilla, whipped cream and chopped almonds. It’s served on Christmas Eve for pudding with warm cherry sauce and it will contain a single or several whole almonds. Whoever finds a whole almond usually wins a present. In my family whoever got the almond would hide it and make everyone else eat more and more!

For this card I coloured the reindeer with stampin Blends and added some googly eyes. I love how the Cookie-Cutter Punch is able to cut out the reindeer as well. I used the knitted embossing folder to give it some texture and dimension. I like how the heart border stamp from the Birthday Blooms Stamp Set makes the most perfect Christmassy background paper. A very simple card where I cheated again and coloured a strip of whisper white paper with a gold pebeo marker.
