review 1: The whole gang is back in I’d Rather Be With You, the sequel to If I Can’t Have You. In the novel, Mary B Morrison really tests the lines of friendship and loyalty. Madison is dealing with the aftermath of accepting Loretta’s bet, in addition to other issues. Her life is in disarray, nothing like what she planned. Where are your friends when you need them? Loretta, still jealous, is too busy trying to steal the love of Madison’s life. If only Loretta was the only threat in Madison’s life. She also is still dealing with the very crazy Granville who just won’t seem to go away. I enjoyed this novel, yet not as much as I enjoyed If I Can’t Have You. The last novel in this trilogy drops at the end of the month. I will be reading it to see how this saga ends4 Stars... moreReviewed By: Donneil JacksonFormat: Paperback
review 2: I received this book as part of a goodreads first-reads giveaway. This book was a quick read but a good one. The different characters kept you interested. Each character was easy to tell from the others. They had their own personalities and traits. The story kept you engaged and wanting to read on. I put in for this giveaway not knowing it was a sequel but was able to get through the book just fine without having read the first one. There was enough information mixed in this book for me to get an idea of what the first book was about. Anyone interested in a nice drama book would enjoy this one. Thanks for the copy I enjoyed reading it. less
