review 1: This is no ordinary rhyming farm, none of the animals do what they are supposed to do like “my pig, she’s called Nancy. She should like mud, but she’s too fancy.” And while none of our farm friends follow their animal instincts they are all good at one thing…what would that be? The illustrations are cartoonish with thick black lines and white backgrounds. I loved the surprisingly funny rhyming and the silly illustrations.
review 2: This isn’t the best written book I’ve ever read. I didn’t learn anything or swoon at the illustrations. But man, will this ever be a hit at storytime. This simple rhyming tale of a farm with misbehaving animals (a fancy pig, a lazy cow, and a chicken that dances in purple underwear are members of this silly cast)... more is short enough to read to toddlers and funny enough to please early primary school kids. less
