review 1: As others have stated, i have very mixed feelings about this. I loved the descriptions of England, food, books but the mystery itself was just so uneven, the characters actions were unbelievable, and the ending just sort of happened suddenly -- as if the author didn't have a plan but was told she needed to turn in the final draft. The book jacket says this is the beginning of a series, but I'm not sure if I will continue or not.
review 2: I really liked the book's premise and Karen, the main character. If I had to find fault with the story, it would have to be the rushed climax and the convenient ending. I'm sorry to say but when the mystery of Guy was finally revealed, I just about took a double take. to be honest, I guess I just don't understand what the a... moreuthor is thinking on this part. Nonetheless, this book kept me up all night. Which is good. It's a pretty cute cozy mystery and I am anticipating the next one! less
