review 1: Was für ein grandioser Band! Endlich hat man mal was erfahren über die Vergangenheit der Vampire und der Hunter, wie sie vor 10.000 Jahren gelebt und geherrscht haben und wie die Hunter überhaupt zustande gekommen sind. Und das erschreckenste überhaupt: Kaname ist der Urahn der Vampire! Also einer der ersten Vampire überhaupt und somit gar nicht der "richtige" Kaname-sama und somit Yukis Bruder. Ihr eigentlich Bruder, also der echte Kaname, wurde nämlich von ihrem Onkel Rido-sama umgebracht um den Urahnen (also den jetzigen Kaname) zu erwecken. Verstörend! XD Ich will den nächsten Band lesen!Ps: Zero sieht so geil aus! xD' Überhaupt hat Matsuri Hino doch den schönsten Zeichenstil für einen Shojomanga! Und auch eine große Entwicklung mitgebrac... moreht ^^
review 2: Ah, Matsuri Hino! Very likely giving up into fan pressure against the brother\sister love, and retconning it out of existence by having Kaname pull out another random power from his butt (and what a fine butt, but let's not get distracted).Admittedly, I might be unfair, and actually the plot twist involving Kaname might have been set up for a long time, seeing he's supposed to be mega powerful\the king of vampires all along (because Yuki is speshul!)Then again, I really don't care much about the whole brother\sister angle so I can't say I morn for the removal of that particular plotpoint (I just have no idea why he kept the charade for so long, but still).But, again, characters just do random and really silly things -- because it's convenient for the plot -- then again, this is already a staple in this series, so why change, right?Ultimately, the story IS the weak spot of this series. Good concept, interesting characters, but the tale can't hold on its own (I was surprised to learn that there were actual novels of the series -- until I realized she had commissioned them to someone else). As much as I hate to say it again: Matsuri Hino can't write a well crafted (or even logical) story to save her life. less
