review 1: Much of this book contains information that was very familiar to me. Especially the early and later chapters will be quite familiar to most Mormon readers. Maybe that is why I found chapters 5 and 6 to be my favorites. I have never before considered Mormon doctrine and practices in light of the Progressive political movement of the early 1900’s. I highly recommend this book both for LDS readers as well as anyone interested in a single short treatise on Mormon history, theology and practice.
