review 1: I haven't read a historical romance in a while but thoroughly enjoyed this one. Full of romance, the Lynwoods are a family to be reckoned with. Ned and Janes story is beautiful. The one night shared 7 years earlier while Jane nursed him to health...actually stitched him and saved his life, resulting in a passionate one night affair for the virginal Jane. Ned who is the younger brother of the Duke Lynwood was unfortunately given a false name by Jane, who in reality was the grand-daughter of an earl, never found her. Accidentaly meeting again 7 yrs later and discovering he is the father of the lovely Violet! I found Neds sister Lizzie fascinating and cant wait to read more about her. Looking forward to reading the rest of this series
review 2: I am afraid that Ge
... moreorgette Heyer has spoilt me for other historical romance writers. Her period sense, appropriate language, mores, clothing are all spot on. Unfortunately Ms Driscoll a Heyer is not. Her basic story is good although there are some glaring holes and fleshing out needed. But her period placing is not on, the appropriate language, mores, clothing are missing. This is unfortunate as Ms Driscoll is able to write and her characters are likeable. less

I really enjoyed this book. Love a good HEA after it looks like there really won't be one.
