What’s new with Liquor Brownie?

Early this year, my good friends, Joby Provido and chef Jomel Salas, decided to come out with another flavor for their hugely popular Brownie Bars.  They were tireless in R&D and I was one of the happy taste-testers.  After some batches, they were able to come up with a winner! And one that I personally recommend!

This is the  Callebaut Cointreau –  made with dark callebaut chocolate, infused with Cointreau Orange Liqueur, topped with torched candied orange and roasted hazelnuts.

Co-owner Joby said “We’ve always been itching to try something with Callebaut chocolate for quite some time now. One time we were playing around with puff pastry and we put together some callebaut dark callets and some home-made candied orange peel soaked in whiskey in an attempt to make an orange version of pain au chocolat. The resulting pastry was heavenly, and we thought ‘how about making this into a brownie?”

And it was really good! Brownie Callebaut Cointreau sells at P599/box. Other flavors  include  : Cerveza Negra, Don Papa, Frangelico Truffle, Double Black and Black Label Whiskey.  All flavors are available for orders online at  www.browniebar.pub  https://www.facebook.com/browniebarphilippines.
