review 1: I'm an idiot! Every time I tell myself that I'm not going to fall for interesting barbs, but I do anyway. The writing was awful! you probably wrote better in your school essay (I'm not trying to be cruel, But I finished the book for the sake of my reading challenge. Otherwise I would have thrown the book at the third chapter in. The characters were flat, had zero (probably negative) chemistry, the main character had no backbone and naive to the point of being childish, the hero was exceptionally cruel.........and the list goes on.
review 2: I've always tried to determine the quality of a book, movie or play by accepting what the author was attempting to convey. I found this book to be almost perfectly what this author was attempting to achieve. The narrative, c... moreharacters, plot all are true to Mz. Hoffmanns desires. This should be a delightful read for anyone who enjoys this genre and we can only hope that she adds to our enjoyment in the future. less
