review 1: Was this a first novel? If so, then we'll done! think this book was aimed at YA, but I'm only 74, so I think that counts as young adult. I liked this book a lot. I got a bit annoyed by the heroine early on because she seemed to have honk and act more like a twelve year old than seventeen, but she got better. I was also disappointed that the story didn't finish. I don't want to see one of those 36 volume "trilogies", but perhaps another two or three books would be nice. I am certainly looking forward to the sequel.
review 2: I won this book in a giveaway, and I can honestly say that I am so glad that I did! This was very different from any other YA paranormal I have read so far. I was hooked from the first chapter, and continued to be so until the very last page... more, where I almost cried because I wanted more! The world Ms. Whitmer created in this book was amazing, and the descriptions helped make the place more real to me. I loved the story line, and I cannot wait to read the rest of this series as it is released! less
