The Faerie Guardian – Book Review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

“Please try to refrain from throwing deadly objects at your classmates.”

The Faerie Guardian is the first book in the Creepy Hollow series by Rachel Morgan.

So first of all this book is FREE on amazon kindle. Most free books I come across aren’t that great… but this one is definitely worth a read.

So I know you aren’t supposed to judge a book by its cover but I definitely did with this one… were it not for the fact this book was free I probably wouldn’t have paid money for it seeing that cover pop up on Goodreads and Amazon. However I’m glad it was free and that I read it because I was pleasantly surprised by this book and have gone on to buy the next one.

Anyway, seventeen-year-old Violet is not only a faerie but also a guardian in training. As her training comes to a close one of her assignments lands her in trouble when a human not only sees her but follows her in the faerie realm.

Trying to return the human, Nate, to his home proves easier said than done and Violet gets tangled up in a larger dangerous plot taking place.

“Seriously, Ryn? Did you have to go and get yourself shot with poison?”

So while a bit silly at times this book was entertaining. There are a number of interesting side characters including her mentor, Tora and an ‘ex-friend’ Ryn (who becomes important in the next book).

I was expecting a silly teenage romance and while there was a bit of this in the book the twist towards the end makes it worth reading.

This book is free… so what do you have to lose? Download it!

Thanks for reading!
