review 1: I really enjoyed the last Melissa Foster book I read, Sisters in Love, and blogged my review of this contemporary romance here, so I was looking forward to reading Bursting with Love. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy this book as much as the first. Part of it may have been the sex scenes at the beginning of the book that caused the problem for me. I never quite connected with the characters, either. Another reader may have a different experience. There were moments in the book that I found beautifully written and thought-provoking, like, "You have ten minutes to be angry, ten minutes to be sad, ten minutes to be anything other than thankful that you have an eleventh minute to look forward to." If you're a fan of Melissa Foster, you'll probably enjoy this ... morebook.
review 2: Savannah Braden, the only female in the Braden Brood is a high powered NY Attorney with nerves of steel. After all she did grow up with 4 brothers and her Dad. Her Mom had died when she was around 4 years old. But although she had her career totally under control her love life was a totally different matter. She had been dating Connor on and off for years---but this time she caught him cheating and had finally had it! In an attempt to start anew she decided to go on a weekend survival course.Jack Remington, who gave the course, was a haunted man who was hiding from himself and everyone he loved. He blamed himself for his wife's death and had convinced himself that everyone else blamed him as well. There was instant attraction between Savannah and Jack which both fought until they realized that there was no fighting it.Back in NY Savannah and Jack realized that they really loved one another but Jack had to heal himself and part of that healing would be to reunite with his family. Yes, there were ups and downs in the relationship but love triumphs. Jack also finds out about his father--will they reconcile? Read this book people-I read it in one sitting-that is how good it is! less
