review 1: This was a pretty good read and had plenty of angst. The characters were immature and annoying at times and Eric absolutely drove me crazy!! I mean, where was the groveling?!?! He tried a 1000 times harder to win Emily back in book 1 over a lie and yet does NOTHING when the stakes are even higher and he has a daughter in the picture, it's like he doesn't even care or realize he's a complete dipsh*t and tries turning it all on her. I was completely frustrated by the fact that he really didn't try AT ALL to win her back. With that rant over with, I enjoyed the book but am desperately hoping that she chooses Alex cause honestly, Eric doesn't deserve crap from her, and once a cheater always a cheater, right? I'd be extremely wary if I were her, an NFL players has millions of o... morepportunities to cheat, what's to stop him when the "pressure" of everything gets to him again? He's got some major changing to do to win this girl over.
review 2: This book was meatier than book 1 but still had similar issues with editing & word & grammar errors. The story line was interesting and intense at times, I loved the characters and I loved the maturity and the love that they felt for one another. Emily was sometimes a whiner but Eric did give her reason at times to be that way. Then comes Alex. He was hard to resist, especially considering the circumstances that Eric had put her through. Most girls Emily's age would have just suffered through the pain but she didn't, she decided she needed to figure out where she stood and what she wanted in life. I was sad at the end of the book and hoping book 3 will be happy. less
