review 1: This is an enjoyable little tale of two people not realizing what's right under their nose. When Marty breaks up with her boyfriend, her world crumbles and she seeks refuge in booze, having left a plea for help on her best friend's answer phone. She didn't expect her friend's brother Dominic to come to her rescue.They have known each other since they were kids, but thrown together as they are, there is a new growing awareness between them. Both try to resist but in the end it proves useless.Some very hot scenes in this story and I laughed out loud a few times too. Very enjoyable characters and some sparkling dialogue.There were some editing issues, but it didn't deflect from the story.Well worth a read :-)
review 2: This is such a nice and fun holiday read (eve... moren f I read t after the Christmas season) of friends to lovers. I love how this one goes, especially the scene in the nightclub. I like the way Melissa put together the heroine's name. I like the whole Marty thing and the fact that she was able to open up her heart to love in the end. The hero is definitely one I loved reading about. For me,character and story are important and this one just was smooth and easy to get into. less
