review 1: I'm not really one for Anthologies. I usually like a story that I can sit down and read for a few days instead of just one short sitting. But I think giving this one a try when it first came out was a good idea because all the stories in this anthology was perfect.Although a few were better than others, I must say that my favorites were "Sleeping with the Spirit" by Laurie Faria Stolarz, which I guess I liked because I'm a sucker for paranormal romances between worlds-apart beings and such, and "Thinner than Water" by Justine Larbalestier, which I loved because of the heartbreaking forbidden romance of it. All in all, the stories were unique, different, and types of stories you don't get to find often (if not, at all). I hope I come across something similar to this in the ... morenear future.
review 2: I usually don't read short story anthologies but three of the authors in this book have written books I enjoyed - Melissa Marr, Scott Westerfeld & Gabrielle Zevin. I went in with trepidation but came out having really enjoyed the stories. They were imaginative, well rounded and the characters were very approachable. My favourite has to be Scott Westerfelds as his story created a whole other world of existence. Recommend for anyone that just wants a book to dip in and out of. less
