review 1: This was a cute love story/Christmas Story. It had a really happy and predictable ending. The characters were nice to read about. Although, I don't know too many teachers who get off for 3 weeks at Christmas time. It was a pretty quick read. Although, I read another mini novella in between reading this. I gave it 3 stars. Good to just read for fun and relaxation around the holidays. I received it free on the Kindle awhile back!!
review 2: Ugh. I knew the ending after the first 2 chapters. The main character, Anna, is so irrational -- Her stomach is upset for a few weeks so she thinks she has ovarian cancer (!) and tries to hide it from everyone so she can make this "the best Christmas ever". Her husband works late a lot, but she doesn't ask him about
... more it. Instead, she assumes he's having an affair. I found myself occasionally skipping pages and still had no trouble following the "storyline". The Christianity seemed thrown in as an afterthought. If you want to read a "cozy" Christmas novel, check out Jan Karon's "Shepherds Abiding". less
