review 2: Unique, Thrilling RomanceI've read a ton of romance novels, but I've never read anything like this. It was a breath of fresh air to get wrapped up in the story of Eli, an amazingly sexy hero with revenge boiling in his veins and Abilene, a brave heroine with a medical degree and major issues with the idea of perfection. What's interesting about this novel is that Micah Persell manages to make the story achingly romantic even as it winds through violent landscapes and the themes of life, death and eternity. The villain in this novel is truly disturbing, but he has nothing on the demons that haunt the main characters. I found myself falling not only for the flawed Eli and Abilene, but for the interesting and exciting premise of life and love eternal. I'd like to read more, please. less
