review 1: I've been a fan of Michele Gorman for awhile now. She has a knack for writing unforgettable characters, and this is no exception. Workaholic Carol is a bridesmaid for her sister's wedding. What she doesn't realise until the last minute is that she will be at the wedding with not one but three of her exes - first love Skate, Marley's boss Karl and best man Robert. Unsure of what went wrong in these relationships, she's anxious to see them all again. She grows tremendously as a character throughout the story, and learns a lot about herself through her interactions with her ex boyfriends. Although it is supposed to be a re-imagining of Dicken's A Christmas Carol, I didn't find that I felt particularly festive while reading. It was very enjoyable though regard... moreless.
review 2: I liked this updated version of A Christmas Carol story. I did like the character Carol even with all her faults. If anyone is looking for a cute Christmas story this is a great book to pick up and read. The story was a quick read and flowed well. The only part I didn't like was the ending for the fact that I thought it was too short. I wished there was an Epilogue to the story. But I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a cute Christmas story. "This book was provided by the publisher for review." less

Short, but fun. Just enough heart to make it truly worthwhile, but not really deep or insightful.
