review 1: I really enjoyed Michele's expat chick-lit novel on two levels. First, as an expat chick-lit women's fiction author myself and secondly, as a lover of chick-lit. It was classic, funny and witty. I really found myself laughing out loud. As an American expat I could relate to some of the specific scenarios her character experiences living abroad. Story line was good and I am looking forward to reading the next one in the series.
review 2: I accidentally read Misfortune Cookie before I read this book and had I read Single in the City first I probably wouldn't have made it to the sequel. Hannah was much whinier in this book than in the sequel. Obviously she had the problems with guys and problems with being American that she complained about, but what really annoy
... moreed me was the complaining about her job. It seemed like she wanted to be rewarded for doing what she was supposed and it came off really spoiled. Overall the characters are likable and it's definitely an easy read. I will probably read the third in the series just to see what happens! less

I totally disliked the ending, I would have liked a bit more of story there... but, it was fun book.
